September 26, 2022

Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society will be closed on Friday, September 30, 2022, to observe National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We are encouraging all staff and Board members to take time this week to learn and reflect on what reconciliation means to them, our organization, and the communities we serve. September 30 isn’t just a Stat Holiday; it’s a meaningful day for everyone in Canada to get educated, remember, renew and measure our reconciliation commitments.

In honour and remembrance of residential school survivors and the children that never came home, ENF will be making an annual donation to the Orange Shirt Day Society to support their work to create meaningful dialogues about the effects of residential schools. ENF will bear witness and acknowledge these atrocities and stand in support of residential school survivors, their families, and Nations. We encourage you to donate or make a purchase to support the work of the Orange Shirt Day Society. ENF will be wearing our Orange Shirt Day pins in solidarity.

We encourage everyone to learn more about Canada’s residential schools and Truth and Reconciliation. Here is a list of essential documents and activities to participate in on Friday, September 30:
