Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society
For over forty years, Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society has built community by providing affordable, safe, and secure rental housing. As one of Canada’s first women-led community housing organizations, we focus on the unique needs of women, gender-diverse groups, single-parent families, seniors, people with disabilities, and other equity-deserving groups. Our founders—April English, Leslie Stern, and Mia Cross—were three single mothers who, with a modest $1,000 grant and a fierce commitment, created an organization where women support women.
Our founders believed that safe, affordable housing is the foundation for building brighter futures for families. Today, we continue that mission by providing not just homes but a supportive community where people can thrive. We are proud to offer affordable housing to more than 1,200 residents, fostering communities of care and a deep sense of belonging.
