About 800 Commercial Drive Project

Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society is proposing a 15-storey social housing buiidng at 800 Commercial Drive in partnership with the City of Vancouver. The project will provide 93 social housing units for low—and moderate-income households, including women, single-parent families, seniors, and people with disabilities, in the vibrant Grandview-Woodland Commercial Drive neighbourhood. Designed to prioritize social connection, the project challenges the typical tower form.

The design is focused on fostering a sense of community through exterior corridors and generous outdoor and indoor amenity spaces for residents. The ground floor has one level of office space for non-profit organizations, and when the building is complete, it will be the new location of Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society's head offices.

A rezoning application was submitted on November 28, 2023, and was approved by the Vancouver City Council at a Public Hearing on July 25th, 2024. The Development Permit application is expected to be submitted in the summer of 2025.
