June 21 | National Indigenous Peoples Day 2025

June 21, 2025

On this day, we honour and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples across Canada.

It's also an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage. We invite you to explore Indigenous histories, attend a local community event, and consider your role in reconciliation. Listening, learning, showing up, and shifting consciousness are powerful steps toward a more respectful and inclusive future for everyone.

Looking for a place to start?

Visit the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation or discover the Witness Blanket – inspired by a woven blanket, the Witness Blanket is a largescale work of art created by Carey Newman. It contains hundreds of items reclaimed from residential schools, churches, government buildings, and traditional and cultural structures from across Canada.
