Leanna (she/her) is an accomplished urban planner and community engagement professional, bringing over a decade of experience to the board of Entre Nous Femmes Housing Society. She has a wealth of expertise collaborating with diverse communities to ensure infrastructure projects and policy initiatives are deeply responsive to local social and cultural contexts. Leanna excels at creating engagement frameworks that elevate community voices, fostering trust, transparency, and meaningful participation.
Throughout her career, she has led complex projects in urban, rural, and remote areas across BC, adeptly navigating jurisdictional and regulatory complexities to bring critical housing and infrastructure initiatives to fruition. Her expertise in developing fit-for-purpose governance frameworks ensures accountability and drives effective decision-making within multi-stakeholder environments. In her current role as Director, Planning & Sustainability at Sacred Waters Developments Ltd—a development company co-owned by the Katzie, Kwantlen, and Semiahmoo First Nations—Leanna leads the integration of sustainability and social impact initiatives across Sacred Waters' development projects. Her depth of knowledge in sustainable development and housing policy will be an asset to the Society's board, positioning her to make strategic decisions aligned with the organization’s mission to create safe, affordable, and inclusive housing.
